This SIDAC device is a 5000A solid state protection device offered in a non-isolated TO-218 package. The protection device is located in the CATV (Common Antenna Television) application environment for severe shock. In CATV line amplifiers and power inserter, this device can replace the gas tube, SIDAC Tor devices traditionally used in protection stations because of the tighter voltage tolerances.

Notes:

All measurements are taken at an ambient temperature of 25°C. The IPP is suitable for a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.

IPP is a repetitive surge rating that guarantees the life of the product.

The listed SIDAC device is bi-directional. All electrical parameters and surge ratings are applicable for forwarding and reverse polarity.

VDRM IDRM measurements.

VS is measured at 100 V/μs.

Special voltages (VS and VDRM) and hold currents (IH) are available upon request.

Off-state capacitance measurements at 1 MHz with a bias of 2 V are a typical value.
