The MLX91801/2 is a system-in-package (SIP) microcontroller with an MLX16 custom, ported pressure, plastic SO16 package combining an analog pressure sensor and a low-power sensor interface. Its primary use is in wireless tire pressure monitoring system applications. Using a suitable RF transmitter, the system can be used with existing remote door switch (RKE) systems as required by the specification. Typical power consumption in standby mode is less than 0.25μA to 25°C ambient temperature. The MLX91801/2 accepts inputs from external shock or roll sensors, enabling intelligent power management to maximize battery life.
