As the market for large-screen full HD 1080p LCD/LED TVs becomes saturated, TV manufacturers need to offer new selling points to boost sales. A natural breakthrough direction is to further increase screen resolution, i.e. upgrade to Ultra HD, which is no longer a problem with the increasing performance of video processors today. The only problem may come from the data transfer between the motherboard and the display, such as with traditional LVDS, there may be too many wires, resulting in a very complex system design. Fortunately, TranSwitch's recently developed HDwire can solve this transmission bottleneck very well and has specially assigned its Business Development Director, Ming-Hsien Lin, to provide an in-depth introduction to this latest technology here. |
